Sat., June 9th, 2018
10am–12pm
Location: Greenhouse behind the Volunteer Park Conservatory

Want to know more about orchids and the care they need, but not sure where to start? Get your ticket today for the Conservatory’s Introduction to Orchids and Repotting Workshop on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 at 10am to noon, behind the Conservatory.

This fun class will focus on understanding orchids to make it easier to grow them in your home. Learn the basics from experienced orchid grower Mike Cory, ably assisted by Chris Peterson and Tom Matney. Along with an overview of orchid growing, they will show different species of orchids and be available for your questions.

Have some orchids that need repotting? Bring one or two (max. 3) plants that need repotting to the class. We will help you repot and provide free potting mix.

Mike Cory is secretary of the NW Orchid Society, as well as an experienced docent at the Conservatory. For fun, he grows about 300 orchids in his greenhouse and has been growing orchids for 25 years.
