WHAT DOES THE CONSERVATORY MEAN TO YOU?

Can you imagine what a different place Seattle would be without Volunteer Park Conservatory? When the hustle and bustle of the holidays has come and gone but spring is still months away, where else could you experience a taste of the tropics so close to home?

Where else might you inhale the fragrance of rare orchids, or see towering palm trees, otherworldly cactus and delicate carnivorous flora, all thriving peacefully under the same glass roof?

Volunteer Park Conservatory has provided you an urban oasis and sanctuary for generations. It is an important link to our cultural history and legacy, and an institution you can feel proud to support.

You know your contribution to the Conservatory’s support organization, the Friends of the Conservatory, helps provide unique classes and workshops, docent-led tours, special events, and keeps the Palm House Gift Shop running. But did you know your support also allows direct advocacy for the Conservatory and its collections?

With your help, the Friends of the Conservatory provides oversight and stewardship of the Conservatory within the Parks Department and the City Council.

We pay close attention to decisions that affect the Conservatory and ask tough questions to ensure your voice is represented and the Conservatory’s doors remain open!
