Throughout July, the Seattle Chamber Music Society presents a series of free outdoor chamber music performances throughout the city. Each Wednesday in July, Volunteer Park will play host to the concerts at the Amphitheater Performance space.
On July 22nd, Volunteer Park Conservatory will remain open until 7:00 PM. Take a leisurely stroll through the lush tropical displays before enjoying the performance.
The evening consists of the KING-FM audio broadcast of that night’s Summer Festival concert (live from Benaroya Hall), plus a special in-park performance by the winners of the 2013 and 2015 KING-FM Young Artist Award — Olivia and Charlotte Marckx. Performing as the Sempre Sisters, Olivia and Charlotte will play an eclectic mix of classical music and toe-tapping fiddle tunes.
These “Music Under the Stars” events have been a beloved Seattle tradition for over twenty years. And because the radio broadcast is live, you’ll get to hear for free the exact concert being performed that very moment for the audience at Benaroya.
