Free classical music in Volunteer Park
Wednesdays July 6th, 13th and 20th from 7:15pm to 9:30pm
Grab a blanket, pack a picnic and spend a warm summer evening in Volunteer Park, picnicking and listening to great classical music… for free! It’s another summer of MUSIC UNDER THE STARS.
Each summer, the Seattle Chamber Music Society brings top musicians from around the world to perform at Benaroya Hall. The concerts are streamed live into Volunteer Park by KING-FM.
It’s called MUSIC UNDER THE STARS, and it’s been one of Seattle’s best-loved summer traditions for over 20 years.
The Volunteer Park events take place at the Amphitheatre, across from the Asian Art Museum.
Each evening begins at 7:15pm with a live performance by an outstanding student ensemble.
At 8:00pm, the evening continues with the live KING-FM broadcast, direct from Benaroya Hall.
Last summer, up to 1,000 people came out to Volunteer Park for each of these Music Under the Stars Events. It’s a very casual and sociable atmosphere, with people chatting, eating and coming-and-going as they please. So this summer, come out to Volunteer Park and hear for yourself!
Volunteer Park Conservatory will be open until 7:00 PM on each of the concert Wednesdays.
