Conservatory Audio Tour Launch

Visit the Conservatory after regular hours to test out our new AUDIO TOURS!

Listen to our new audio tours while you stroll through the plant collection after hours. We’ll have a couple volunteer guides onsite to help you get the tour files set up on your own device as well as share interesting tidbits about the plants, building, and art pieces. Don’t forget to bring your headphones!

A Friends of the Conservatory staff member will be out front of the Conservatory sharing information about membership, upcoming events, our new donation program and thank-you gifts, our upcoming Fall Plant Sale Fundraiser, volunteer opportunities, and more and answering your questions.

Enjoying the five houses of the Conservatory is truly a special experience in the evening as the sun casts light dramatically on the lush plantings. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit after regular hours. If you struggle to get to the Conservatory between 10 am and 4 pm, now is your chance to see this specialty garden with your friends, family, or as a solo moment.

Entry is free-of-charge, but donations are welcomed. Pay what you will. Your financial support allows the Friends of the Conservatory to bring low-cost and free programming like these audio tours to the public to connect in a more meaningful way with our city’s unique plant collection, architecture, and art installations on display at the Volunteer Park Conservatory.

The last entry of the evening will be at 7:45 as the Conservatory will be promptly closed at 8:00 pm by our onsite Seattle Parks & Recreation staff.

The audio tour launch takes place the same evening as the Volunteer Park Trust’s Summer Series at the Amphitheater - a free concert from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. What a great way to spend a summer evening in the park!
