Harpist, Xue Mei Jiang performing on the Chinese Guzheng (Harp)

Come enjoy live traditional Chinese harp playing by Xue Mei Jiang. Included with admission (standard admission is $6)

Living in Bellevue, Washington, United States, Ms. Jiang Xuemei, often called Madam Yun Shang,  has been studying the performing art of guzheng for decades. With its exquisite musical attainments, elegant artistic accomplishment and skilled playing skills, it has formed a delicate, smooth, elegant and pure, deep and simple artistic style, expressing the elegant charm of the ancient eastern instrument Guzheng, and finally forming its unique playing style and creating an artistic rhythm. Yuyin Liufang has performed many times in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, the United States, Canada, and received high praise from all walks of life. Ms. Jiang Xuemei for the Guqin (the classical Chinese instrument) is also very deep attainments.

 

She is well known Chinese classical Guqin and Zheng educator and performer. Ms. Jiang, currently is the president of Yunnan Ethnic Orchestral Society and executive vice Chairman of Kunming Musicians Association, Executive Director of China Ethnic Orchestral Society, Director of China Musicians Association, Executive Director of Beijing Chinese Traditional Music Association, Senior examiner of China Social Art Level Examination, and so on.

 

Ms. Jiang Xuemei has cultivated a large number of outstanding musical talents in the field of Oriental traditional Musical Instruments (guqin, zither) performance and education.
