This year the Northwest Orchid Society (NWOS) will be holding its not-to-be-missed fall show in the Seasonal House of the Volunteer Park Conservatory October 7th and 8th.
Additionally, there will be a sales and re-potting service area directly behind the Conservatory in and outside of the Sharon Priebe Education Wing. There will be signs clearly marking the location of the show and the sale.
Orchid experts and novices alike will be dazzled by the orchids on display in the Seasonal House. Find inspiration before heading to the sale to pick out an orchid for your home collection. Talk to experts to get care advice and tips, and even have your orchid re-potted to give it more room to grow.
Plant sales will feature orchids, but additional plants may be available for purchase. Visit the sale to see the selection and find one that brings you joy. There are, of course, additional plants and treasures available in the Palm House Gift Shop.
Admission
Saturday, October 7th is the Free 1st Saturday of the month, so Conservatory admission is free-of-charge. Donations are readily accepted in the Palm House Gift Shop. Regular admission fees will be collected on Sunday, October 8th. The sale and show are open to the public. Membership is not required, although you may want to join the Northwest Orchid Society after admiring these stunning, showstopper plants in-person. They are not to be missed!
