The Friends of the Conservatory is offering free or low-cost activities intended for our younger visitors the same day that Conservatory entry is free - the first Saturday of every month!

Plan a free monthly visit to the Conservatory and enjoy activity time with Friends.

In July we enjoyed live music in the Seasonal House by TROOMS! In August, we offered storytime in the Priebe Wing. October was an orchid coloring activity to go with the Northwest Orchid Society’s Fall Show and Sale. TROOMS will return in November. Future activities include coloring, origami, create-your-own terrarium, and more! Keep an eye on our website, social media channels, or sign up for our e-news for details of each month's activities. Regular hours for the activity are from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.

An unexpected Santa will visit the Conservatory from 12 - 3 pm. Our very own Palm House Gift Shop Director, Shannon, will don the Santa suit for the first time and share holiday cheer with visitors on Saturday. For those of you looking for a non-traditional Santa experiences, your holiday wishes will be granted. Come see the poinsettia and model train display in the Seasonal House and mail a letter to Santa.

Bathrooms are located outside the Conservatory to the east of the east drive in the public pavilions (when facing the Conservatory, bathrooms are to the right).

Let the Friends host you once a month for some family time that you don’t have to plan. Free parking in Volunteer Park - so easy!
