Forest Bathing in Volunteer Park (shinrin-yoku in Japanese)
The first Saturday of the month we meet in front of the conservatory at 10 AM. We will walk to find a secluded area in the park sheltered by big trees to practice walking and standing meditation. Ater a brief introduction and a talk about the benefits of forest immersion, we spend 20-30 minutes in silent practice. A small bell will signal the beginning and ending of the practice period. There is time at the end to ask questions and share about the experience.
Free and open to the public. Please dress for the weather. I will be there, rain or shine. Everyone is welcome.
Donations to the Friends of the Conservatory are always welcome but not required!
